We are in Pelham Alabama and on our way to Gulf Shores for a month and then who knows where the wind may blow us. It is raining like crazy today and I hate to drive in the rain, at least we know where we are going and the road is good.
Our time in Brentwood was great. Thanksgiving was wonderful being with the kidds (fur included) all the dogs were wonderful. Whispie took a nip at Bob but who of us hasn't wanted to do that. ;)Food was great and we had a blessed day.
Friday night we played eucre and the guys won somehow. I don't get it, Lou and I were playing just fabulous, but the cards just went their way. It made them feel good at least and that is all that counts. (I may hurl)
Sat afternoon we went to the movies with R&L and saw Blindside....it was fantastic.
We had a fabulous seafood dinner at some folks from church. Thomas and Tracy......man, unbelievable.......dungeness crab, scallops, shrimp.....it was beyond delish. We all had such a great time. They are such a great family.
Church sunday was so emotional, Rob was wonderful (we know why). I was thinking of Tim and leaving the kids.....I guess the older you get the harder the goodbyes become.
I was thinking of and missing him so much as it is the holiday season and much of my TG and Christmas was Tim these past years and now it will be different for us. (my Trish as well)
I imagine my boy probobly had the best Thanksgiving ever where he is. If his Gram has her way in heaven I am sure she cooked up the biggest turkey dinner ever for all of her family. Because that is what made her happiest in her life, cooking those great meals. I miss her especially on the holidays.
Gotta go ......on the road in an hour. Seen ya at Gulf Breeze.....

Life in Chattanooga
Good Morning!!!
Here we are in Chattanooga Tennessee just a few hours from seeing our boy. Haven't been blogging as the computer is acting up and I need my one on one support from my little computer expert (really, is there anything that child cannot do?) Call me prejudiced but the truth is the truth.
It has been raining here for the past 2 days and this place is kinda muddy, not good for the dogs. The guy behind us has a motor home and he has at least 6 dogs in there, it is unreal. I have found out one thing about this life, someone is always watching you. So you need not do anything embarassing.
We took the incline rail up Lookout Mountain and it was amazing, a little hairy for the height impaired (me). There are 3 huge attractions here, the incline, Rock Gardens, and Ruby falls (I think the latter is like Howes Caverns).
This place is a heaven for the Antique enthusiast, a whole mall devoted to antiques.
Just a little note about where we were before this. We were in Stone Mountain, Georgia and the park is hard to find words to fully describe its lovliness. Just fabulous, mountains, lakes, streams, covered bridges, a grist mill, miles and miles of walking, hiking and biking trails. And, we were here off season so it was fairly quiet. Definitely a place to stay for a month. RV park was fabulous as well. The only fly in the ointment (did I just say that?) is the driving......horrendous, they are like animals. No southern hospitality on the roads to Atlanta. The fella next to us lived close by and told us that a directional doesnt mean left or right, it means get out of my way I am coming over. (sheesh) I didnt feel comfortable getting in the car and going to the store on my own.
It is hard to believe it is almost a month since we left NY. All is well except Bob has been brutal at canasta. How can he keep getting all those reds? I hate him and he thinks its funny. I havent thrown the cards yet but have used some pretty harsh language on him. He just keeps chuckling and saying hes sorry (sorry my achin foot). I will keep plugging and hope my time is coming to snicker and call him the "loser"
It is 8:30 in the morning on Monday the 23rd and the three bums are still in bed. It must be too chilly to get out of the nest (poor babies)
In 2 days we will be at the kids house in TN for Turkey Day. I can't wait. It will be the first since they were in Fla. Need a "kid" fix.
Went to Calvary Chapel in Chattanooga and it was awesome. Didnt get a chance to meet the pastor but found out later he is a friend of Robs. The whole experience was great, message, music, church......it was huge. I really liked Pastor Frank too!!!!!Not as great as Pastor Rob,go figure. (yes, yes I am)so sue me!!!!!
Going to be a tough holiday season this year as Tim was so much a part of the season for me so I am sort of glad not to be home. One thing that is getting to me is everywhere I go I want to buy him a t-shirt as I always did and the reality of that keep hitting me in the face and heart. I just naturally go look at the shirts, I am going to try to avoid them as it hurts too much right now. I am finding it is the little things that get you. Things you just took for granted. I miss him so much. I was thinking the other day as I was thinking about him, I wonder if they think of us in heaven or are they so busy loving on God that we arent a part of their baing any more. Its just that I think of him so much and wonder these crazy little things. This is some of Chbunnie's Musings.
OK, gotta go.....the Canasta King is up and already talking about beating me. I will beat him with a stick.
Till we meet again

p.s. to Nov 3
I failed to mention we are in Myrtle Beach at Lakewood Resort. It is so great here. Parked right on the ocean front. Pool is right across the street. Fabulous. Sunday we went to MB Calvary Chapel and it was great. Nice people. They have services and bible study right here in the park at the Coffee House (known as CH on the legend). I do love this place and we are here for 2 weeks.
November 3rd
We are well into November and the weather here has been superb. We haven't done too much here but just live life.
We did a buffet but we weren't impressed. The people working im the place looked like they were just so put out by customers. God forbid you wanted to pick the section to sit in....she took us to the last table in the corner when there were so many more up front. Think she didnt like to be asked not to take us up a flight of stairs to another sectiom. I just love to carry a plate of food down a stairway. Not good. I should have said something to the mgr. The crab legs were wonderful though.
I have been taking water aerobics and it is going good. Helps the body work a little better. Having trouble with my computer so cannot play my games. Bob and I have been playing a lot of canasta. Not tired of it yet. Good game.
Bob has been walking the dogs a lot and they are loving it. I will take some pics and try to post them here.
I did get my nails done and a hair trim. They all look pretty good. Just a pedi and I will be set for a month. As I sit here I can hear the roar of the ocean. It is wonderful. The weather has been in the 70's and just perfect. It gets cool at night and we are sleeping great except when Rose starts walking on our heads in the night ( what the heck is that about? )
Doing pretty good eating up the food we brought. I made spaghetti tonight......B is in hog heaven. I liked it too. I have been feeding the girls hamburg and rice as MR's tummy has been not right.
Talked to Trish and the boy (Monk) is back after being gone for what seemed like forever. I am so happy he is back with her. He is a very naughty cat and I will have words with him when I get back.....he put his Mom and us through hell. I am just so thankful he is back home with Trish. Thank you God!!!!!!!
I am running out of things to say so I will close for now and be back when I have something good to report.
Go Yankees!!!!!
