October 31st 2009

Well, here it is another Halloween....my favorite holiday. The only thing good about it is candy which I sure do not need.

We are in Myrtle Beach State Park until Sunday where we go to Lakewood on the ocean. Then the vaca begins. Yeh Baby. We spent the day with the Overlans yesterday and it was great but I felt bad for them as they had to go home this am. Not happy campers thinking of back to reality (work). We had a nice day though.

Just did a little sightseeing and found this little area of high end shops and perused through them. Got some great candles. Smells like I am baking lemon cookies in here. yum. They are made of soy and you can use them as hand lotion also. Very cool. The gal will refill them for you also. They are wonderful. I may have to get some more before I leave. (I hope B doesn't read this) They are expensive but worth it.

Not much to report, haven't been doing too much as we have moved from place to place and cannot set up as we have to repack each time.

This park is pretty nice, Mystie is in doggie heaven as the squirrels are all over the place and she sits in the drivers seat and just grooves. I think this just may be another westie heaven. Hey, as long as the dogs are happy.

On the road again

October 25th

Got out at around 8:20 and we are both ready to drop. What a trial that is trying to get everything in order and stopped etc. Yipes!!!!!Our backs and hooves are achin like crazy. Stopped in Gettysburg for the night and guess what? The freakin place had tics. OMG it was freakin me out. Man, I hate bugs on my dogs...or anywhere else for that matter. yuck. Bob says its an adventure but of course they dont jump on HIM!!!!!

As we finished packing the MH to leave, Mystie is out in the front yard eating grass and leaves and horking her guts up. You can imagine my dismay. I could just see all the barf on my new rug and plus having a sick dog on board. Why does this happen when we start out each time. Guess it's test. (I may just flunk)

Then to make the day just perfect, Bob the fink beat me in canasta. Grrrrrrrr. This will get better I promise you.

October 26th

Beautiful day, had a little bite in the MH and got on the road at 7:40. Traffic and roads were just great. All went well and we made it to NC by 3:30 and we are just relaxing and spiffing up. I threw a great dinner together and we just stayed in for the day and night. Tomorrow I am hoping for a seafood extravaganza....Oh Baby. We should be in Myrtle Beach in three hours so will not be a bad driving day. All dogs are well and bug free now and thats the way I like it uh huh uh huh. Tonight I would like to take Mr. Hotshot to the cleaners in canasta. We shall see. The worm must turn.

10-17-09

October 17th, 2009

It is a gloomy, cold saturday here in upstate NY. I gotta get out of town or give up my flip flops. Never!!!!!! It will be hard to trudge through the snow with them but when the going gets tough, well you know the rest. We will be leaving town one week from tomorrow morning. Myrtle Beach here we come. Can't wait to walk on the beach.

Gotta work just one more day. I think I can manage it. Everyone hates me and with good reason. 5 months is a long time to be traveling. Won't miss the weather but will miss my friends. I have learned to play canasta and it is fun. I am sure the peeps down south play also. If not I have my game on the computer. Gonna run and this is majorly boring and I can't think of anything interesting to say. Till we meet again.

One month today

It has only been one month since our Tim went to be with Jesus and I miss him every day. I do realize that he is with the Father and is out of pain but unfortunately we are not. I think we just never realize how much someone means to us until the unthinkable happens. I would have never thought I would have to live the rest of my life without this beautiful, child not in it. I had so many plans for all of us, trips, dinners, holidays. I know life will go on but I feel as if we as a family are a horse that has lost one of its legs, we still can get around but never the same as if we had all four legs.
Heaven must be such a better place now that the Timmer is in residence. I am sure he is straightening up for when the rest of us meet him there. He will be so proud to show us around.

We are beginning to plan our trip for the winter now. It should be good to get out of town for a while and just rest and relax for a while. Our plans are so far, Myrtle Beach, then Tennessee, then Alabama will take us through the holidays and then who knows where the wind might blow us. I will try to keep up with my blogging and keep records of where and what. It will help me remember to as I have that new senior disease CRS. (can't remember sh--), Sorry Rob.

We are spending Thanksgiving with Rob and Lou and are really looking forward to it. Love these kids so much (I know they arent kids but heck, I am their Momma) I have rights. I will miss Trish very much though around the holidays. Maybe she can come meet us somewhere warm for a while. I would love that. She may meet us when we get back in TN in March.

Until the next post, I say Godspeed.
